Job Title: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager
Salary: £55,000-£70,000 (Depending on experience)

Job Description
Purpose of Role
To lead the Health, Safety and Environment function for the company across all UK and International sites ensuring Health, Safety and Environmental compliance and best practice procedures and processes are in place.
The role holder will advise the Senior Management Team and lead the organisation by maintaining a clear HSE framework; promoting and embodying a positive safety culture across all areas and aspects of the business by providing policy, procedures, training and audits. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow within the marine industry, offering a clear pathway for progression into a more senior leadership position in the near future.
Key Job Responsibilities
· A single point of control / reference for all (managers and employees) providing competent advice for all HSE issues in accordance with statutory requirements, company policies and procedures.
· Leading the HSE team, performance management and development of individuals.
· Ensuring the successful development and implementation of the Health, Safety and Environment strategy across all sites.
· Maintaining a robust, and sustainable health and safety management system which is aligned to industry standards.
· Directing the business on all HSE, legislative and regulatory compliance matters and chair meetings with operational teams to ensure all facilities meet exceptional HSE standards.
· Building relationships with the operational teams to understand compliance challenges and through your team, proactively provide solutions to these challenges
· Ensuring all HSE policies and procedures are kept up to date.
· Maintaining a HSE risk register while understanding the importance of insurance and how it impacts risk management across the organisation.
· Ensuring critical working practices such as processes for major events are understood and followed by employees and contractors.
· Completion of the annual training plan for HSE, identifying development and regulatory needs at all levels in the organisation and contributing to the development and delivery of training.
· Managing the HSE budget and overseeing all relevant data collection, record keeping and reporting at committee meetings.
· Ensuring that accidents and incidents are documented and tracked, with appropriate remedial actions and learning implemented accordingly.
· Management of external specialist suppliers or consultants to ensure comprehensive provision of HSE for the organization.
· Keep up to date with all aspects of relevant HSE and welfare at work legislation, and communicate relevant changes to the business, as needed.
Requirements
Knowledge
· Knowledge and understanding of ISO14001/45001
· Strong working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation within a production / manufacturing environment
· Understanding of production of yachts or other similar large products with long build times, preferable
Skills
· Competent user of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
· Presentation skills, both preparation of PowerPoint presentations and delivery to a variety of audiences
· Planning and organizing skills
· Prioritizing skills
· Good written communication skills
Experience
· Experience of performing an HSE management or partnering role within production / manufacturing industry, preferably marine.
· Leading management teams on HSE compliance and best practices.
· Conducting audits and action plans.
· Planning and delivery of training.
· Knowledge of UK RIDDOR and equivalent EU regulation.
· Management of third-party suppliers.
· Fire Marshalling.
· Display Screen Equipment assessments.
· Occupational Health Surveillance, relating to production workforce.
· Experience of HAVS management is desirable.
· Experience of COSHH management is desirable.
Qualifications
NEBOSH general certificate, IOSH or other HSE industry recognised qualification.

The postholder may be required to work on other sites in the UK and occasionally internationally
