Join our dynamic team as a Marine Engineer, working on leisure and commercial boats up to 10 metres!

We are a family run boat yard & the South West’s main dealers for Tohatsu outboards, Extreme Trailers & 3D Tender Boats.

On site, there is a chandlery, showroom, and outdoor sales area displaying both new & second-hand boats & outboards, as well as marine equipment, supplies, fishing rods, tackle & frozen bait.

Established in 1986, SBY has delivered fully managed boat servicing and maintenance for all brands.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

* Servicing, repairs, maintenance and installation on both inboard and outboard engines.

* Installation and fault finding of 12V systems.

* Fit out and rigging of new boats.

* Pre-launch checks, boat rigging and launching.

* Recovery and winterization.

* Trailer repairs and maintenance.

* Maintenance of company assets.

What we are looking for:

* Minimum 3 years’ experience or qualifications in marine engineering. Experience in a similar field will also be considered.

* A proactive, team-oriented approach and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

* Clean, tidy, systematic, and organised work practices.

* Full UK driver’s license, with fewer than 6 six points.

* Boat handling experience, either motor or sailing – desirable, but not essential.

* Experience in GRP repairs – desirable, but not essential.
