Support

We understand that every business has different needs when it comes to HR support. That’s why we offer two flexible options: Banked Hours for ad-hoc requirements and a Monthly Retainer for consistent, ongoing support.

Option 1 – Banked Hours

Get expert HR support when you need it, without committing to a fixed retainer.

  • Purchase a bank of 10 or more hours at £130* per hour + VAT (*discounted for British Marine members, non-members will pay £150 per hour)
  • Hours are valid for 12 months
  • Buy more hours whenever you need them
  • If you move to a retainer, any unused hours will be deducted from your first monthly invoice


Service Levels (Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm):

  • High priority – same day (suspensions, payroll queries, contracts)
  • Medium priority – within 24 hours (employee relations queries)
  • Low priority – within 48 hours (policy updates, reports)


Best for: Businesses with occasional or unpredictable HR requirements.

Option 2 – Monthly Retainer (for consistent support)

For proactive and consistent HR support, our Monthly Retainer is the most cost-effective way to work with us.

From £350 + VAT per month includes:

  •  Unlimited advice via phone and email
  • Online or onsite HR support
  • Updates to policies, contracts and handbooks in line with legislation changes
  • Support with people strategy – aligning business goals with people goals
  • Handling of complex employee relations cases (disciplinary, grievance, performance management, redundancies)
  • Access to our HR system with full implementation support
