British Marine, the owners and organiser of the Southampton International Boat Show currently have a vacancy for an Operations and Sales Executive within the British Marine’s Events team.

The role

Supporting the Event Operations Manager and Head of Sales on general team inboxes, such as operations, ticketing and sales, answering questions from exhibitors and being a lead contact.

  • Booking onsite staffing, such as floor managers and FOH staff.
  • Supporting with the ticketing operation including discount codes, guestlists, accreditation allocation.
  • Support Events team with exhibitor communications.
  • Supporting the Sales team to research new exhibitor leads.
  • Establish and maintain clear communication between British Marine and the International event organisers.
  • Support in ordering onsite equipment including, but not limited to, Radios, Scrim, Décor etc.
  • Management and reconciliation of section of the overall show budget, including but not limited to, Accreditation, Accommodation, Staffing and Radios etc.
  • Lead on internal events during Southampton International Boat Show.
  • Supporting the Event and Membership teams with the successful management of the British Marine International Events presence including Metstrade and Monaco Yacht Show. Including, but it not limited to, planning, stand allocation and International events attendance..

  • Computer literate with an understanding of Microsoft packages
  • Proven experience using a range of web technologies (e.g. online tools and social media)
  • Team player with personal drive and ability to use initiative
  • Working well under pressure and to deadlines
