The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Yard Foreman to lead our yard operations and ensure the smooth running of all boat handling, maintenance, and storage activities.

You’ll oversee a small, skilled team, maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction across the yard.

Key Responsibilities

·       Supervise and coordinate daily yard operations, including lifting, launching, pressure washing, and storage of vessels.

·       Lead and support the yard team, ensuring safe working practices and effective communication.

·       Liaise with boat owners, contractors, and the marina office to ensure smooth scheduling and service delivery.

·       Carry out or assist with maintenance and repair work as needed.

·       Maintain yard equipment, vehicles, and lifting gear in safe working order.

·       Ensure the yard is clean, organized, and compliant with environmental and health & safety standards.

·       Support continuous improvement and efficiency within yard operations.

Skills & Experience

·       Proven experience in a marina, boatyard, or similar marine operations role (supervisory experience preferred).

·       Strong practical knowledge of boat handling, lifting, and storage procedures.

·       Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

·       A hands-on approach with a commitment to teamwork and high standards.

·       Relevant marine or lifting qualifications (desirable but not essential).

·       A full UK driving licence (towing experience an advantage).
