Job Description and Person Specification

We have an exciting role at Beaulieu River for two Dock Masters working a 11 hour shift, four days on and four day off pattern.

As an award-winning marina and river, we are looking for new team members to join our friendly community.

As the Dock Master, you will provide a friendly and welcoming environment along with a high level of customer service to clients, berth holder and visitors. Your duties will include patrolling the Beaulieu River to ensure that the river operates as efficiently and safely as possible in accordance with the Port Marine Safety Code.

Dealing with enquiries, taking bookings from existing and prospective clients, collecting harbour dues from visiting vessels, dispensing fuel and providing clients with tidal information. You will record boat movements on the river and in the marina using the electronic management system.

The role will require lone working during evening hours and you will be responsible for the security of the site during these times.  You will need to be able to swim and be physically fit. Have a clean Driving Licence.  RYA Powerboat 2 or experience driving small craft. Be able to work shifts whilst maintaining a high level of Customer Service and work as a team member at the river.
