The British Marine Technical team is dedicated to assisting members by supplying up to the minute advice and technical support and guidance and by representing our members on a number of key technical committees to ensure their best interests are safeguarded. Whether unearthing the details of an ISO standard, or signposting sources of business support, we are on hand to help.
As a member you can contact us for assistance covering anything from general health and safety to in-depth technical standards. Our work really does cover the breadth of the industry. In recent times we have delivered successful campaign programs on several key areas of the industry, including:
- the Recreational Craft Regulations (RCR) – ensuring the transition post Brexit was smooth.
- the creation of the IPV code for recreational craft in temporary commercial use.
- the changes to the BSS ECP checks
But when one campaign ends, another one begins. We are working on issues that affect companies throughout the marine supply chain, right now. We invite British Marine members to get individually involved in our work, to ensure our industry's subject matter experts have a voice and assist us in shaping the technical standards of the future.
Please remember, we need your involvement and guidance to make strong cases and obtain the outcomes or recognition that your company and the wiser marine industry deserves.
